Abercrombie Physical Therapy has been providing personal care with professional results since opening in January 2003. Located at 2811 Riverside Drive, it offers a location that is convenient and easily accessible to patients. In an effort to provide high quality, ethical care, Abercrombie Physical Therapy is committed to establishing a patient first environment with no referral for profit arrangements. The primary goal is to empower patients to get better and stay better, through exercise and education, as well as other techniques. Outpatient physical therapy services provide treatment for a wide variety of patients, including, but not limited to orthopedic, neurologic, arthritis, torticollis, gross motor delay, TMJ dysfunction, vestibular rehab/balance, pre/post-operative, and back pain.
About me
Lea Abercrombie, Owner of Abercrombie Physical Therapy, P.C., graduated from George Washington High School in 1991, Washington & Lee University in 1995, and received his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2000 from Elon College. He also earned the designation of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2000.
Available Services
At Abercrombie Physical Therapy we offer a variety of services. We offer Skilled Physical Therapy, Fitness Programs, DME and more. We custom order walkers, canes, quad canes, TENS units, braces and other DME after assessing for the most appropriate device. We will also bill your insurance carrier when the equipment is covered by your policy. This provides the patient with the right equipment in the most convenient way. We also carry several other products in stock, including, but not limited to shoe inserts/orthotics, exercise balls, cold packs, and foam rollers. We provide Diabetic Shoes and inserts. Medicare beneficiaries who qualify are eligible for one pair of shoes measured for optimal fit, and three pairs of custom insoles each year. They provide ideal foot support while minimizing risk of ulceration. We evaluate, thoroughly measure, and cast for these shoes and inserts when appropriate for patients.
